When a report of sexual harassment was registered against a fireman posted in Nawabganj, Bareilly on the pretext of marriage, his father approached the SSP on Monday. He made serious allegations against the victim (female constable) posted at a police station in Shahjahanpur. Said that he along with his sister extorted lakhs of rupees from his son. SSP has ordered investigation into the matter.
An elderly resident of Seohara in Bijnor district told the SSP that his son is posted as a fireman in Nawabganj, Bareilly. The son had become friends with a female constable posted in Shahjahanpur. The female constable fraudulently called her son. Introduced another woman in uniform, calling her sister. Both of them extorted lakhs of rupees from his son. Both the sisters are residents of Meerut and their family members are also supporting them.
Attempt to break son’s marriage
The old man told that both of them were not allowing his son’s marriage to take place due to non-payment of money. His son’s wedding is on 11th March. She is threatening to implicate his entire family in the SC-ST Act. These people took a personal loan of Rs 5.5 lakh from his son and took Rs 4 lakh from it. Now again a demand of Rs 8 lakh is being made.
SSP Ghule Sushil Chandrabhan said that a few days ago a woman had lodged a report of sexual harassment against the fireman posted in Nawabganj. The fireman’s father has now accused the woman and her sister. Investigation is being conducted. If the allegations are proved, action will be taken against the concerned.
